FALL 16th Annual Home and Garden Show | October 28-29, 2017
Texwood Shows, Inc. produced the first Home & Garden Show in The
Woodlands in the spring of 2003, and the annual spring and fall shows
have grown in attendance to approximately 6,000. The venue for
these much-anticipated shows is The Woodlands Waterway Marriott
Hotel & Convention Center, a state-of-the-art facility with 70,000 sq.
ft. of meeting space. It is conveniently located in the heart of The
Woodlands, which is abundant with entertainment venues, retail
shops, luxury boutiques and upscale dining.
Residents look forward to seeing the latest products and making connections with the hundreds of local vendors at the shows. Nationally
recognized, award-winning professionals featured at Texwood Shows
have included such experts as kitchen and bath designer Peggy
McGowen, Houston Chronicle gardening expert Kathy Huber, and AM740 KTRH Radio GardenLine host Randy Lemmon. With the increasing popularity of networks such as Home & Garden Television (HGTV), Texwood has featured media personalities, such as HGTV's Lee Snijders, host of Design on a Dime, Dr. Lori star appraiser on The Discovery Channel, and 4th generation florist and TV personality J. Schwanke of UBloom.com.
The most popular media outlets in the area are all partners of Texwood Shows including: The Woodlands Lifestyles & Homes Magazine, Prime Living Magazine, KSTAR Radio, Community Impact Newspaper and WoodlandsOnline.com.
On the cusp of a new concept, The Woodlands was one of the first
suburban communities to embrace the town center model. This vital
community, located in one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation,
is home to major employers, shops, restaurants and entertainment areas. The 2010 U.S. Census reported a population of 55,000, and it is now estimated that more than 125,000 currently live in The Woodlands.
According to research by The Woodlands Town Center Improvement
District, The Woodlands is also the economic hub for a market of just
under 600,000 people. In 2006, Money Magazine named The Woodlands
one of the nation’s top 100 places to live.
