“Tony Wood and his team handled themselves professionally, and they brought in excellent exhibitors who covered all aspects of home and garden improvement. I was very impressed. We’ve also had positive feedback from people in the community who wed positive feedback from people in the community who were pleased to have this type of event come to the area.”

7th Annual Home and Garden Show  |  January 27-28, 2018

Texwood Shows, Inc. brought its signature home and garden event to Sugar Land in 2011 at the Stafford Centre. The show was the first event of its kind in the area and attracted 5,000 attendees from Sugar Land, Missouri City, throughout Fort Bend County and southwest Houston. The event featured a wide range of industry experts who educated and entertained homeowner attendees with tips on green architecture, remodeling, interior design, gardening and organizing.

Adding to the star power was Kate Smith, a nationally celebrated color connoisseur. Houston-area favorites Randy Lemmon, host of the long-running KTRH radio show GardenLine, and Sugar Land resident Michael Garfield, “the High-Tech Texan,” are part of what makes this truly a “local” show. The suburban show concept, pioneered by Texwood Shows, Inc., is successful in bringing personalities and businesses from the area together, enriching the community.

The inaugural event used the entire Stafford Centre complex and is already poised for future expansion. Over 150 home-improvement exhibitors, almost all from southwest Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri
City and the Fort Bend County area, participated.

“With the remarkable reception of the Sugar Land show, the groundwork is set for the show to grow in size, popularity and quality," said Tony Wood, President of Texwood Shows, Inc.

The Sugar Land show works with major media partners including: Fort Bend Lifestyles & Homes Magazine, Prime Living Magazine, Community Impact Newspaper - Fort Bend and Fort Bend Star Newspaper.

Sugar Land was named by Forbes magazine as one of America’s Top
25 Towns to Live Well - 2009. The neighboring community of Missouri City was ranked by CNN/Money magazine as No. 21 on its list of the
